Manifesto

The Bureau of Kathastrophic Research is an ongoing performance. As curators of emotional disturbance, we document what happens underneath — the transitions, the contradictions, the interior states that resist easy categorization. The Bureau conducts its research through provocation, exchange, and objects passed between people.

This Bureau operates in episodes. Each episode is a research subject. Each runs between 30 and 90 days, then enters the archive.

La Kathastrophe was founded on the belief that what occurs inside a person is material — it is data, it is the source. Those who wish to contribute are invited to join The Secret Society. Members are assigned a number. That number is permanent. Whatever is submitted will be returned to its author by email, a personal archive, because what occurs in the mind is worth keeping on record.
